Life and career

Vos grew up in Plainfield, New Jersey. He was raised Jewish.

On the 2001 English Channel 5 show The People of New York vs Jerry Sadowitz, Vos was the bouncer, often performing his own skits. In 2004, Vos released his first DVD, Vos, which consisted of an unedited 55 minute performance from a single camera angle recorded at the Stress Factory in New Brunswick, New Jersey. He also released a CD entitled I'm Killing Here. Vos placed third on the first season of NBC's Last Comic Standing and was a finalist in the third season.

In September 2005, Vos married comedian Bonnie McFarlane, who competed on the second season of Last Comic Standing. Together they have a daughter, Rayna Lynn Vos, born on July 31, 2007. He is a frequent guest on what was previously the Opie and Anthony show, now the Opie Radio radio show with Jim Norton on SiriusXM. His role on the show usually centered on jokes at his expense, most often highlighting his speech impediment or supposed lack of intellect. He has also hosted Saturday night broadcasts with McFarlane.

He appeared often on Comedy Central's 2002-2004 chat show Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn and is friends with many other New York comedians, including Jim Norton, Colin Quinn, and Dave Mordal. He was also a close friend of Patrice O'Neal, before the comedian's death in 2011. He has been seen on Premium Blend and had two half-hour specials on Comedy Central Presents. He often performs at Caroline's Comedy Club and at the Comedy Cellar in New York.

He served as host of Opie and Anthony's Traveling Virus Comedy Tour in 2006 and 2007.

In November 2011, Vos began a podcast with McFarlane called My Wife Hates Me.
