Robin David Sachs (5 February 1951 - 1 February 2013) was an English actor.

Personal life

Sachs was born in London to actors Leonard Sachs, who was born in South Africa, and Eleanor Summerfield. He was twice married: first to Welsh actress Siân Phillips (1979-1991) and, secondly, to Casey Defranco. Sachs was known for his role as sorcerer Ethan Rayne in Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

Death

Sachs died from a heart attack on 1 February 2013, four days before his 62nd birthday. During the last weekend of February 2013, a Mass Effect 3 multiplayer challenge was enacted, called "Operation Tribute".
