Biography

Keith Martin Comstock (born December 23, 1955 in San Francisco, California) is a former left-handed relief pitcher in Major League Baseball. He went to high school in San Carlos, California and then played for the Minnesota Twins, San Francisco Giants, San Diego Padres and Seattle Mariners over his six-year career. He also played for the Yomiuri Giants in Japan in 1985-86. He is the rehab pitching coordinator for the Texas Rangers.

He was featured in a June 1990 Sports Illustrated article in which they stated he, "had more cups of coffee than Juan Valdez" and that in 1983 he was sold from the Oakland A's to the Detroit Tigers for $100 and a bag of baseballs, which he had to deliver himself from one minor league spring training camp to the other.

Comstock is the great-grandson of the former United States Postal Inspector and politician Anthony Comstock. He lives in Arizona with his wife, Kathleen Comstock. He has three children, Christine Fox, Daniel Comstock and Alexandria, two granddaughters, and three grandsons.

Daniel Keith Comstock is the son of Keith Martin Comstock of Major League Baseball.
