DeShawn Snow
DeShawn Snow is an American television personality, realtor, author and entrepreneur who, most notably, appeared on Bravo reality television show The Real Housewives of Atlanta in its first season in 2008.
Life and career
1973-06: Career beginnings
Snow graduated from Wayne Memorial High School in 1991, and later graduated from Michigan State University in 1995 with a Bachelor's degree in Marketing. Whilst at Michigan State, DeShawn met Spartans basketball team member Eric Snow, who she later married on July 21, 1997.
After working as an estate manager, she started her own real estate agency EDJ Realty, LLC in 2004. In May 2006, she started her own not for profit foundation, DeShawn Snow Foundation, that is to 'empower young women with self-esteem issues'.
2007-08: The Real Housewives of Atlanta
Snow appeared as one of the five original 'housewives' in Bravo's Real Housewives of Atlanta for its first season. However, on January 15, 2009, it was announced that Snow was to be dismissed from the show, with producers attributing her expulsion to her being 'too human for a circus show'.
2009-present: Current ventures
In 2010, she started the divorce process with her husband Eric, after he was found in an affair and fathered a daughter with a different woman.
Snow released three books in 2012 as the 'Lil Shawnee' series.
