Biography

Dan Lynch is a former college and professional American football offensive guard. He attended Lewis and Clark High School in Spokane, Washington. He was inducted into the Washington State University Athletic Hall of Fame in 2006.

College career

From 1980-1984, Lynch played college football at Washington State University where he started four years, was team captain and was a 1984 First Team All-American and unanimously won the Morris Trophy as the Pac-10's top offensive lineman. He was also on the 1984 Bob Hope Christmas Special with the AP All-American team. Lynch played in the East-West Shrine all-star game is the only player to play in two Senior Bowl all-star games due to being granted an extra year of eligibility.

Professional career

He was drafted by the Denver Broncos in the National Football League in the twelfth round of the 1985 NFL Draft. During the pre-season camp he suffered from Addison's disease, which saw his weight drop from 275 pounds to 170 pounds. While he played in the pre-season, he never actually played in a regular season NFL game.

Due to his illness he retired from football and subsequently completed a MBA at the Haas School of Business at the University of California at Berkeley and moved to work in Central Europe and now resides in Prague, Czech Republic.
